Role Overview
To achieve our ambitious growth plans we need to recruit the very best and at pace. As part of the MARCH Talent Acquisition Team, you will ensure that we attract, hire and onboard Talent that matches and delivers on our Group objectives, now and in the longer-term.
The successful candidate will have a track record recruiting multiple roles across varied customers, demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and translate a clear understanding of the business, and its requirements, into actionable recruitment plans which you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of.
This role is hybrid, ideally working from our Northwest offices with national travel as required.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage a volume, multi-discipline workload spanning various divisions/functions.
- Qualify resource requirements with hiring managers and convert them into tailored recruitment plans that deliver at pace.
- Drive end-to-end recruitment against clear goals for time to hire, shortlist quality and direct sourcing, backed by proactive communication, commercial awareness and delivery commitment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and senior stakeholders, use market and candidate insight to inform and agree best approach for hiring and best practice ways of working.
- Understand MARCH’s capability and market position to develop a compelling pitch, engaging active and passive candidates, using your knowledge to ensure an excellent CV to hire ratio.
- Ensure approval and commercial processes are adhered to, supporting hiring managers as needed.
- Continually challenge how we recruit, bring new ideas, channels and sourcing approaches that work around an in-demand candidate market, reduce reliance on agency spend and promote MARCH as an employer of choice.
- Identify the right attraction route for each role such as: job boards, careers site, social and professional networks, finding ways round geographical and skills-scarcity challenges.
- Use recruitment data to report progress accurately, inform decisions and look for improvement.
- Support onboarding requirements to ensure a smooth process and positive candidate experience.
- Manage agency use and liaise with approved recruitment partners (where required), ensuring they have all the relevant information to be successful in the hiring process.
- Travel to national locations to support recruitment activities and site engagement.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in recruitment, managing multiple hires and roles at various levels, ideally through a combination of agency and in-house.
- A track record in hiring engineers is essential. Mechanical and electrical, control, automation or relevant roles in nuclear industries is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, recruitment technologies and AI and an interest in their ongoing development.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate continuous learning in recruitment and personally, bringing external ideas and innovation to improve and shape our ways of working.
- Demonstrable experience of creating and developing talent pipelines.
- Ability to network via social media and other professional platforms and events.
- Passionate about recruitment, striving to provide industry best practice and find the best talent.
