We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our growing team, working on a range of industrial and process pipework projects across customer sites. As a Pipe Fitter / Stainless Steel Welder, you will split your time between our Newark workshop and customer locations, preparing, fabricating, installing and modifying stainless steel pipework systems.
You'll work closely with our Projects Team to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, while keeping management informed of site progress and project updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and fabricating pipework within our Newark workshop.
- Installing and modifying stainless steel pipework systems on customer sites.
- Welding and installing dairy pipework to a high standard.
- Reading and interpreting layout drawings and project information.
- Liaising with project teams to support successful project delivery.
- Assisting with project planning and site preparation activities.
- Reporting project progress and site activity to management.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Complying with all health and safety procedures and requirements.
- Working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with stainless steel sheet metal (1.6mm to 3mm) and/or dairy pipework.
- Strong welding and installation experience with dairy pipe systems.
- Previous experience working on customer or industrial sites.
- Ability to read and understand simple layout and fabrication drawings.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and safe working practices.
