As the PAT Tester, you’ll be responsible for carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across 2 manufacturing sites in Burton Latimer and Corby. You will also be responsible for completing basic electrical repairs on faulty equipment, ensuring all equipment remain safe and fit for use. The role also includes the testing of RCD sockets across the sites at Burton Latimer and Corby.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PAT testing on a wide range of electrical equipment across our sites in Burton Latimer and Corby
- Complete basic repairs such as replacing plugs, fuses, and damaged cables
- Carry out testing of RCD sockets across our sites in Burton Latimer and Corby
- Identify and safely remove or label equipment that fails testing
- Record and maintain accurate test results and documentation
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to support site safety
- Follow all workplace health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
Skills and Experience
- PAT Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent)
- Basic electrical repair skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Good communication skills and a positive, team focused attitude
- Hold a full, clean drivers licence
