Control Systems Engineer
Reading, Berkshire
We are now seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our growing engineering team at out state of the art facility in Reading, Berkshire. This is a technically focused role, responsible for leading the design, development and commissioning of advanced control and automation systems across a wide range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle with a focus on high‑quality technical delivery.
- Communicate effectively with customers through meetings, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Deliver assigned technical tasks and projects in line with budget, quality, safety, and time expectations.
- Produce and review specifications, design documents, and technical reports.
- Configure and develop control system application software across multiple platforms and industries.
- Conduct testing and commissioning safely within operational end‑user environments.
- Maintain consistently high standards throughout the design and engineering process.
- Work independently or collaboratively within a team, adapting to various project and customer environments.
- Ensure full compliance with all requirements of the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
Skills, Experiences & Qualifications:
- Highly motivated, ambitious self‑starter with a strong interest in control and automation.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical, and written communication skills.
- Experience in designing and developing control solutions within Food, Utilities, FMCG, Process, or Materials Handling industries.
- Degree in Control, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ideally a member of a relevant engineering or professional body.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the control and automation industry.
- Proven control systems engineering experience.
